Meyer Lemon Smash

Ingredients:
2 oz. Bowman Brothers Small Batch Bourbon
2 oz. Meyer/mint simple syrup*
½ oz. lemon

To Make:
Crush a scoop of ice. Build your cocktail in a rocks glass, starting with your crushed ice. Stir to combine the ingredients, and garnish with a mint sprig. Cheers!

*For the Meyer/Mint Simple Syrup:
6 Meyer lemons
Handful of mint
4 cups sugar
Boiling water

Cut the lemons into small pieces. Add 2 cups water and blend. Strain. Muddle your mint in 1 cup of boiling water. Strain. Mix the strained lemon and mint together, and divide the mixture into 2 quart-sized containers. Add 2 cups of sugar to each container, and top with boiling water. Stir until dissolved, and store the simple syrup in the refrigerator when not in use.
