Story
Red, White, Blue and Pom-Pom
Camp Blackberry is preparing to celebrate Fourth of July fun, and you can too! Get creative and festive with this pom-pom stamped American flag.
Supplies:
Three cotton balls
Three wooden clothes pins
Canvas, white cardstock, paper or background for painting
Red, white and blue paint
Directions:
- Start by pinching one pom-pom at a time in between the mouth of the clothes pins, as if they’re holding it.
- Dip into blue paint, and stamp blue dots close together to form a small rectangle in the top left corner.
- While the blue paint dries, take a clean pom-pom pinched in another clothes pin and dip into red paint.
- Stamp red dots close together to form red stripes, leaving a gap between each line to represent the red and white stripes on the flag.
- Carefully take your last clean pom-pom, pinched in the clothes pin, and dip it into white paint.
- On top of your blue rectangle, stamp white dots to represent the stars seen on the American flag.
- After drying, display with pride. You created this!
