Red, White, Blue and Pom-Pom

Camp Blackberry is preparing to celebrate Fourth of July fun, and you can too! Get creative and festive with this pom-pom stamped American flag.

Supplies:
Three cotton balls
Three wooden clothes pins
Canvas, white cardstock, paper or background for painting
Red, white and blue paint

Directions:

  1. Start by pinching one pom-pom at a time in between the mouth of the clothes pins, as if they’re holding it.
  2. Dip into blue paint, and stamp blue dots close together to form a small rectangle in the top left corner.
  3. While the blue paint dries, take a clean pom-pom pinched in another clothes pin and dip into red paint.
  4. Stamp red dots close together to form red stripes, leaving a gap between each line to represent the red and white stripes on the flag.
  5. Carefully take your last clean pom-pom, pinched in the clothes pin, and dip it into white paint.
  6. On top of your blue rectangle, stamp white dots to represent the stars seen on the American flag.
  7. After drying, display with pride. You created this!
