Ways to Use Our Cheeses
Singing Brook is an aged sheep's milk cheese with a hard rind. Each wheel is aged for a minimum of 5-6 months. Rich, nutty and buttery with a sharpness reminiscent of a Manchego, it's best served at room temperature.
Go cheesy at breakfast by stirring shredded Singing Brook into your hot grits. It will get your morning started right!
Simply slice and serve alongside Blackberry Farm preserves, pickles or charcuterie, and create a cheese plate. We recommend adding Brebis, Magnolia and Hawkins Haze.
Enjoy the best grilled cheese with melted Singing Brook, and add some Smoked Onion Jam.
Singing Brook will easily become your favorite topping, whether you are sprinkling it on a salad or over your favorite pasta dish. Keep that grater and your wedge of Singing Brook handy!
Brebis has distinct flavors of the first shoots of clover and alfalfa in the pastures. It is a soft ewe’s milk cheese, similar to a Chèvre, and has a rich and supple texture that is light on the palate. Brebis is slightly tangy, yet well balanced, making it a very versatile cheese.
Use Brebis to add a twist to your favorite cheesecake. A traditional cheesecake typically begins with cream cheese or ricotta. Referencing your favorite cheesecake recipe, incorporate Brebis as a substitute for the cheese that it calls for. You can also use it as a substitute for ricotta in lasagna or add it to brownies for a cheesecake brownie effect!
Serve Brebis with a drizzle of Blackberry Farm Honey and fresh strawberries.
Spoon a small amount of Brebis into a sautéed mushroom cap and top with smoked trout for a delicious canapé.
Mix maple syrup with Brebis and stir into your favorite cornmeal pudding dish.
Form Brebis into small, palm-sized balls, and encrust each ball with chopped pistachios or crushed Grain and Nut for a great snack.
Our Pimento Cheese is prepared with cheddar, lending it a sharp, nutty characteristic. The pimentos are Spanish roasted red pimento peppers that are large, sweet and meaty. You'll love the complement of the aged sharp cheese, sweet peppers and Blackberry's longtime recipe for this traditional Southern cheese spread.
Stuff a juicy cherry tomato with a small scoop of Pimento Cheese for a light canapé.
Incorporate Pimento Cheese into your next grilled cheese sandwich. For an extra punch of flavor, add a few slices of smoked turkey.
Add a hearty helping of our Pimento Cheese to juicy beef patties and throw them on the grill. Top with our Bread and Butter Pickles and serve on a toasted brioche burger bun for a cheeseburger that is out of this world!
Add a spoonful of Pimento Cheese in a squash blossom and deep fry.
