Blackberry Farm is more than a luxury getaway, it’s a working farm. Through Smoky Mountain misty mornings into hazy evenings on the Farm, East Friesian sheep graze our fields. The Blackberry Farm Larder was originally built as a pantry for The Barn. As our cheese program grew, we expanded the space to house our own sheep’s milk cheese production facility led by Cheesemaker Chris Osborne.

Much like our preservation program, our Larder team works to share the fresh, delicious flavors of the Farm with creative and innovative cheeses, inspired by the seasons. In the first of our Creator Series, a series that will highlight the many personalities and artisans that wield their craft and make Blackberry Farm one of the most unique and incredible places, hear the story of our creators and the ideas that drive our cheese production from Chris Osborne.
