Turmeric Collagen Latte
During the Winter months, a steamy mug – sure to leave a foam mustache – always hits the spot! Both nourishing and fueling, this turmeric collagen latte has become a steady staple in my nightly wind down ritual.
Turmeric is known for its anti-inflammatory properties, and I am always looking for ways to enjoy this spicy, orange root! Rich in curcumin, an antioxidant that supports joint mobility, digestion, immunity, mood stability, memory and cognition, you can see why we were excited to find that turmeric can grow in East Tennessee! Making a paste with fresh turmeric root ensures the greatest benefit and allows me to add additional warming spices to aid in absorption and round out the flavor for a delicious drink. The collagen heaps on the benefits for joints and digestion and also adds a bit of body to the nut milk.

Makes Two Lattes
3 cups macadamia nut milk
1 Tablespoon local honey
3 Tablespoon turmeric paste
2-3 scoops collagen powder
Cinnamon to dust top
My favorite way to enjoy it is simply tossing everything in the Vitamix to heat and froth in one step while the mugs are warming, then share with a friend. It tastes even better after a run or cold plunge!
