The Sparkling Brew

In celebration of beer on the farm, this month is known as SEPTEMBERFEST! Champagne is a natural favorite when it comes to celebrating, so it seems only natural to marry the two. This is how “The Sparkling Brew” is born. In light of the many beer choices available, the Dogfish Head Black and Blue beer is perhaps the most complementary. This is a Belgian-style golden ale fermented with blackberries and blueberries, which gives the beer a unique complexity along with a high ABV. It is paired with a Cava, a sensational sparkling wine from Spain. Finally, the St. Germain helps balance the flavors, providing the perfect celebratory cocktail for Septemberfest.

.25 oz. St. Germain
Cava
Dogfish Head Black and Blue Beer
1 Long Lemon Corkscrew Twist

In a champagne flute, add St. Germain and fill half way with Cava. Then, top off the cocktail slowly with the Dogfish Head Black and Blue Beer. Garnish the cocktail with a long lemon corkscrew twist.
