The months ahead bring us...
Fall Harvest Festival
Each Saturday in November we turn up the Bluegrass music and head down to the Yallarhammer Pavilion to have lunch with our artisans. After a long harvest season, November is the perfect time to sit back and enjoy. Join us as we celebrate with our chefs, artisans, favorite local bluegrass band—Misty River—and a hearty touch of Tennessee.
Cochon et Vin
December 8-11
This mouthwatering event featuring succulent pork and fine wine is one you will definitely want to experience. We’re bringing together Grand Cochon 555 champion Chef Jason Vincent and Vintner Alexander Glenn to taste their signature flavors and celebrated varieties. Before his win in Aspen, Chef Vincent and his restaurant, Nightwood, had already been featured in Food & Wine and Bon Appétit and earned the MICHELIN Guide’s Bib Gourmand Award. Since 2003, Alexander Glenn, President of Bacchus Vineyard Management, has provided grapes and farming expertise to many of the top wineries and vineyards in Sonoma and Napa, including Pahlmeyer, Paul Hobbs, Williams Selyem, Far Niente, and Kosta Browne, as well as Captûre, which will be the focus of this event.
Holiday Concert with Little Big Town
December 14
After they recently hosted “CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock,” we’re thrilled to welcome back #1 hit-makers (and hosts!) Little Big Town for our annual Holiday Concert. Who wouldn’t enjoy the festivities of the holiday season with these four? The Barn and property will be aglow with lights and decorations as you are swept into the holiday spirit without having to tie a bow or lift a finger. Regardless of music style or genre, it is extraordinary how this group moves adults and teenagers alike. These friends are just such genuine great people; it is an honor and thrill to be able to share such an experience with you.
Wine Geek 101
December 19-22
Back by popular demand for the eighth year in a row, Wine Geek 101 is returning to Blackberry for another season of sipping and celebrating wine. This year, guests will be joined by Austin Peterson of Ovid Winery and Blackberry Farm’s very own talented Sommelier Andy Chabot, with the special addition of wine authority Anthony Giglio. Together, guests will enjoy top-rated wines from both Blackberry Farm and Ovid Winery.
Anthony Giglio’s knowledge of wine and spirits is both entertaining and enlightening. A journalist for Food & Wine, Travel + Leisure, The New Yorker and Esquire among others, he has the ability to make wine approachable for both novices and masters.
Austin Peterson’s life pursuit is to create some of the world’s greatest wines—and he’s well on his way. As Ovid Winery’s winemaker, Austin is already garnering ratings in the upper 90s from Wine Advocate, with no signs of stopping. A nine-time James Beard Nominee for Outstanding Wine Program, Andy Chabot is responsible for Blackberry Farm’s 160,000-bottle collection showcasing more than 8,000 selections. His expertise stretches from the valleys in the Rhône to master level service.
With all of these experts together in one room, this is one opportunity you won’t want to miss.
