The Chocolate Manhattan

The Chocolate Manhattan

In thinking about the classics, a Manhattan immediately comes to mind. When this drink is ordered, 3 questions must be answered. Will it be Bourbon or Rye Whiskey, up or on the rocks, and is a cherry or lemon twist preferred for garnish? This Valentines Day, it is time to take this classy cocktail to another level. Using a double chocolate Bourbon from Kelso, TN while dusting the rim of a chilled martini glass with decadent chocolate and finally garnishing with a luxurious Luxardo Maraschino Cherry, will put anyone in the right state of mind this Valentines Day.

The Chocolate Manhattan

3 ounces of Prichard’s Double Chocolate Bourbon Whiskey
1 ounce of Crème de Cacao
½ ounce of Dolin Dry Vermouth
1 dash of Fee Bros. Aztec Chocolate Bitters
1 Luxardo Maraschino Cherry

In a mixing tin filled with ice, add everything except the cherry. Stir the cocktail until cold, and then, strain into a chocolate rimmed chilled martini glass. Garnish with a Luxardo Maraschino Cherry.
