Summer to Fall Floral

Summer to Fall Floral

Cooler weather is upon us, and the signs of the coming season are all around. When the Joe Pye and ironweed begin to bloom and the tassels appear on the sourwood trees, I know Autumn is around the corner.

At Blackberry, we are lucky to have a long, warm transition to Fall weather. That means Summer flowers like zinnias and sunflowers can still be used and tucked in with pumpkins and Fall branches to ease our way into cooler mornings and the breezes that let us know Autumn is coming. Around this time, we have dahlias to add into arrangements as well.

With cooler weather comes a variety of beautiful options from nature. Grasses, leaves and seedpods, as well as hearty bloomers such as asters, rudbeckia, Joe Pye and ironweed all bring beauty to your Fall arrangements. Grab your clippers and head out into the garden for a variety of textures and color that are sure to bring the beauty of the outdoors into your home.
