Pisco Ano Nuevo

As a new year begins, many make resolutions to improve or enrich their lives. Some strive for a healthier lifestyle, while others resolve to try new things while living life to the fullest. The first featured cocktail of 2014 can help fulfill all these goals. The Pisco Ano Nuevo, roughly translated a new year Pisco, is a cocktail that features not only the delicious Peruvian Brandy, but also the refreshing taste of a winter grapefruit. The fresh citrus gives a clean, crisp taste while other elements, such as Dolin Blanc Vermouth, give an enticing depth. Begin 2014 with this new and healthier unique cocktail and enjoy.

Pisco Ano Nuevo
1 ½ oz Pisco Puro
¾ oz Freshly Squeezed Grapefruit Juice
½ oz Dolin Blanc Vermouth
½ oz Cointreau

Combine everything into an ice filled cocktail shaker. Shake until cold, and then fine strain the drink into a chilled coupe glass. Garnish with a thick grapefruit peel.
