Old Friend
The fall season is a beautiful time at Blackberry Farm. We like to turn a focus to darker spirits and focus on whiskey, specifically when the weather takes a cooler turn. A whisky undervalued by many for use in cocktails is Scotch, here we focus on a blend using Dewar’s white label. This cocktail balances the slight smokiness from the scotch with fall and winter flavors. Grapefruit, having a late fall and winter season adds brightness, while nutmeg, a traditional fall and winter baking addition, lends spice to the cocktail. By using grapefruit and nutmeg to balance the drink, we can focus on extending the season into those cold months. Nothing sounds better then enjoying a nice cocktail surrounded by loved ones around an open fire. With this cocktail you can appreciate the season while spending time with friends celebrating the moment, creating new memories and appreciating a wonderful new cocktail.
