Story
New-Leaf-Green
A step outside with pocketed hands
Cold air, deep breath
Out of the world
Into life
Still but thriving
Time allowed
Spirits rise as she turns
The clock
The page
The earth
Clouds dissipate
Jacket shed
Palms held out as they catch the sun
A heated breeze
A plant bare
A bud swelled
A bloom
Drab pallets turn tender green
Yellow in a barren patch
Pale pink ‘neath leaves of shelter
Violet on a rocky slope
Lilac wings flutter past
Cheerful peeps near forgotten
Is it here?
Subtle now
But soon,
Deafening
