Mind, Body & Soul

During these cold winter months, it is the perfect time to slow down replenish your mind, body and soul.Creating a nightly ritual will promote physical and mental clarity leading to a healthier and most importantly a balanced lifestyle. Reflection is an essential part of concluding your day. When beginning your new ritual find an expressive outlet. Allot yourself 10 minutes to meditate or express your thoughts in a gratitude journal. Self-recognition and optimism can improve attitude and spirit when even the most challenging of days present themselves. During this time find comfort in a warm cup of chamomile or turmeric tea. Once you feel at peace with your mind, incorporate physical stimulation to bring balance to your evening. Dry body brushing has many benefitsthat range from its ability to stimulate the body’s lymphatic system and remove toxins, to exfoliating the skin to encourage a smoother, more youthfulglow. Next immerse yourself in a calming bath, eliminate distractions and soothe your being. While the water calms, deepen your thoughts and transitioninto more relaxed state of mind. After a day of activity sweet birch and magnesium may be added to alleviate achy muscles or stiff joints and lavenderessential oils will prepare mind and body for a more meaningful and relaxing recovery.
