Migration Melody

Blackberry Farm Adventure Manager Joy Hopkins teaches a lot of birding by ear as well as sight. She loves to teach guests about the beautiful sounds of our native birds, especially when all the trees have full canopies, and the birds are harder to see.

Joy was inspired by the birds serenading her on a walk from the Main House to the Chapel to share this poem celebrating their sounds. Listen to the birds around you, and see what their tweets sound like to your ear.
