March Garden Check-In

With the official start of Spring right around the corner, we thought it was the perfect time to check in on our Garden team! During this time of year, it’s all about bed prep at the Garden. From tilling to cultivating the soil, this time is important to create a healthy environment for our seeds to grow. When the soil beds are ready, it’ll be time to plant all the Spring greens first, like kale, radish, collards and other types of lettuce.

While we wait to plant more food seeds, shades of yellow and purple paint a beautiful picture in the Garden as our daffodils and crocus flowers begin to make their appearance. As the daffodils start to bloom, our Garden team carefully divides and transplants the bulbs to prevent clusters, while providing more blooms for the Farm to enjoy.

In a few short weeks, the Garden will really come to life for growing season, showing off the stunning lush greens and bright colors of Spring!
