Making the Best You this Year
"Making the best you- what will you do to better yourself. " Find out what some of our artisans are doing this year to better their lives.
Roy Milner, Brewery
I’ll be pushing preservatives and processed foods further away from my consumption by expanding on my knowledge of pickling and canning. It should be fun, healthier, and ultimately more enjoyable.
Amanda Anderson, Wellness Center Director
January is the perfect time of the year to set healthful and realistic intentions for mind, body and spirit growth. I have just begun a new chapter in my life, and I am ever so grateful to be allowed to contribute my passions of wellness and spa at Blackberry Farm. This New Year, my mind and spirit will be focusing on growth through new relationships and assisting the opening of The Well House late this spring. I am a person who loves setting and achieving physical goals. The New Year is my favorite time to put a calendar together with events and races to support my personal commitment to a healthful way of life.
Brian Lee, Guest Relations Manager
For 2014, I plan to continue weekly yoga classes in search of balance, hike Mt. LeConte with friends for a physical challenge (this will be our 5th year), camp in the National Park to enjoy time in the woods and take a trip to Thailand, Laos and Cambodia.
Thomas Krajewski, Activities Manager
This coming year I plan on staying committed to my cycling routine. I’m shooting to average 100 miles per week. This will not only meet my physical fitness needs but will force me to be conscious when making daily decisions such as time management, efficiency, nutrition and rest/recovery. Ultimately my goal is to be healthier so that I can give more to my family and commitments.
Joseph Lenn, Executive Chef of the Barn
I’ll be working to become more active in exercising. I plan to do a lot of cycling.
