Making a Difference with PathWater

At Blackberry Farm, we are always looking at opportunities to further our efforts for sustainability. For one of our newest initiatives, we teamed up with PathWater in 2020 to join them in their mission to lessen the amount of single-use plastic water bottles. PathWater’s research shows that the average person drinks 168 plastic bottles of water per year. So, they set out to counter that statistic and create a convenient, reusable option. Each Path bottle is created from aluminum and designed to be refilled and reused infinitely. But when you’re done with it, they’re also recyclable!

Each guest that checks in for a stay at the Farm receives a cold bottle of water from PathWater, specially designed for Blackberry Farm. Whether guests are enjoying a relaxing afternoon in the Hickory Club Room or hitting the hiking trails, their Path bottle can be with them for their entire stay, keeping them hydrated and negating the need for single-use water containers. While on property, guests can easily refill their Path bottles at our refill stations or in their rooms.

When it’s time to leave the Farm, guests can take their Path bottle with them and use it anywhere they’re headed next. If they don’t want to take it, bottles are collected at the Front Desk to be recycled. We’re proud to support initiatives that celebrate a better future for the environment. Next time you’re clipping in for a bike ride, paddling off over the lake or enjoying a nice afternoon by the pool, remember to grab your Path bottle and #refillit.

A tip from our Path bottles: Refill your path bottle at least twice each day to get the recommended daily intake of water.
