July is Adventure Month
Summer nights give us plenty of time for porch-sittin’. During the day, we’re all about squeezing the most fun out of the season. We’ve dubbed July ‘Adventure Month,’ and we’ve filled each day with high-energy activities like cycling workshops, paddleboarding classes, hiking and birding. Or, if shooting is what gets your heart racing, you’ll enjoy our new 12-station sporting clay course—featuring fine Beretta shotguns and two signature stands with an incredible view of an old marble mine. Plan a weekday stay with us during July and enjoy a few of our complimentary activities and adventure clinics:
PADDLEBOARDING LESSON ON SINGING BROOK POND
Learn the basics and feel the freedom of Stand Up Paddleboarding, including tips for balance and core strengthening.
Mondays at 9:00am (45 minutes, meet at the Yallarhammer)
CYCLING 1 01
A beginner’s introduction to road cycling: learn the basics of safety and cycling etiquette as well as orientation to the bike’s brakes and gears. Enjoy a short guided property ride on our cart paths.
Tuesdays at 9:00am (1 hour, meet at the Oak Cottage)
MORNING HIKE
Start your day with an invigorating hike in the woods. Your guide will share knowledge of the native flora and fauna in this beautiful part of the Smoky Mountains.
Wednesday at 9:00am (1 hour, meet at the Oak Cottage)
CANOE AND KAYAK BASICS
Paddle on the pond in one of our canoes or flatwater kayaks, learning the basics of technique, navigation and control.
Thursdays at 9:00am (45 minutes, meet at the Boat House)
INTRODUCTION TO BIRDING EXPERIENCE
Meet our colorful residents of the treetops, the field edges and fence rows…learn identification tips, songs, and habitat types on this short birdwatching walk.
Fridays at 9:00am (45 minutes, meet at the Oak Cottage)
