Hawkins Line Flip
- 1.5oz Prichard’s Rum
- .75oz Hoodoo Chicory Liqueur
- 1 Egg White
- 1 Tbsp Cinnamon/Honey Butter
- 4 Dashes Old Fashioned Bitters
- Orange Zest
In a cocktail shaker, add a splash of hot water and the butter. Stir the butter and water together until the butter melts and emulsifies with the water. Next, add the rum, chicory liqueur, and egg white. Shake this mixture without ice for 45 seconds with gusto. After the 45 seconds, add 1 scope of ice to the cocktail shaker and once again shake for 45 seconds. Strain the cocktail shaker into a chilled coupe or martini glass. When the thick and frothy layer on top forms from the egg white, gently drip 4 dashes of old fashioned bitters on top and finish the cocktail with a few orange zest.
To make the butter, let 1 stick of butter set out at room temperature until soft. Add 1 spoonful of powdered cinnamon and 1 spoonful of honey to the butter. Mix the butter with the cinnamon and honey and refrigerate until needed.
