Gingerbread for Construction

This recipe is for gingerbread ornaments and sure to make your tree one no one will forget.

Cream:
10 ounces shortening
1 cup brown sugar

Add:
1 cup sorghum

Add, mixing until completely combined:
7 cups AP flour
2 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
2 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
2 1/2 teaspoons ground ginger
1/2 teaspoons cloves, gound
1 1/2 teaspoons salt

Add, mixing until the dough is smooth:
1 cup cold water

Allow to rest for at least three hours, preferably overnight.
