Gather Round for November

Gather Round for November

Often in craft beer circles there are gatherings called “bottle shares” where every participant is encouraged to reach into their cellar and share something special or difficult to obtain. These are quite convivial occasions where few rules exist and the focus is on fun, contemplation, and conversation.

This is the perfect time of the year to incorporate a new tradition into your holiday gatherings with friends and family. It matters not what your beverage of choice might be, but the idea of requesting that guests bring a bottle to share engages everyone and provides the perfect setting for fun learning and comparison. Bottle shares tend to go best when the host suggests a focus on a particular style, region, or season…or a handful of producers. Again, critical analysis and formality is far from the point here; the purpose is merely to expand your horizons in a setting that is fun and inclusive.

Should you be hosting or get invited to such a gathering this holiday season, consider picking up a bottle of our Fall or Winter Saison. If you’ve been diligent and saved a bottle or two of our Summer Saison (which was just awarded a Silver Medal at the Great American Beer Festival), bring it along and taste how it continues to evolve in the bottle. These three beers couldn’t possibly be more different, but the spirit in which they were made was the same, celebrating the seasons and the flavors and ingredients that we find on our tables. And they were made with the intent that when opened they would be shared and discussed and enjoyed amongst friends and family, making them the perfect choice for your gatherings in the coming weeks.
