Garden Activities this August!

We will have amazing activities and experiences for the month of August in the garden. Spend some time with Master Gardener, John Coykendall, during his"A Lifetime of Seeds" discussion, and gain some great insight into the history of preserving seeds and the process involved. See Blackberry Farm throughJohn's eyes as he leads a unique tour of the garden. Join Jeff Ross, our Farmstead Educator, in "Eating Between the Rows." Gather and forage plants thatboast healthy and beneficial properties, and you may discover some edibles you did not know were eatable! And you should not miss the "Tasty Tomatoes"tasting. Try different varieties of heirloom tomatoes side-by-side to find your favorite, and be sure you stop by the Oak Shop to pick up a pack of seedsof the one you deemed top tomato!

I personally am looking forward to the weekly garden dinner offerings. An exceptional chance to mingle and revel in the evening twilight. As you dineal fresco, surrounded by the garden itself, enjoy a memorable meal that has elements harvested an arm’s reach away. A truly garden-to-table experience!
