For Relaxation and Recovery

When I think of a spa, many words come to mind: Calming, stress-relieving, relaxing, rejuvenating. And rightly so, with treatments such as the Relaxation Massage or the Cove Comfort Hyrdo-Massage, it is without doubt that most people walk away from their experience feeling like thy have reached a new level of peace and comfort. But there is also a second side to the spa, and that is the recovery aspect. Recovery can mean different things to different people, be it recovery from surgery or illness, or recovery from a long week full of stress, or recovery from a big physical effort such as a long cycling trip. It is without question that the spa is a place that promotes healing and recovery from all those things in our lives that put strain on our bodies and minds. I believe that in our society today we all work hard at whatever it is we are doing, and so often we forget that we need to give our bodies the ability to recover. That is why I am such a firm believer in making a spa visit part of my regular routine. For me, it is usually just what I need after a long week or two of being active with our guests and my family. It is the exact thing that allows me to do what I love to do all over again. Next time you see a spa, think about when was the last time you gave your body the chance to recover.
