Flowers for the Fourth
The Blackberry Farm Floral team is dressing the Farm in red, white and blue to celebrate Fourth of July. From bunting on The Barn to the centerpiece of every table, their attention to detail creates a beautifully patriotic scene across the property.
As you prepare to gather with friends, host an annual barbecue or simply enjoy the day, the Floral team has helpful tips and flower recommendations to obtain the festive décor you’re looking for.
From the Floral team:
When we are arranging for Fourth of July, we want it to be an explosion of festive colors. We opt for big, full arrangements. Our Fourth of July décor is all about patriotic celebration. We stick to using red, white and blue, with less greenery incorporated, allowing the colors to have more of a visual impact.
When decorating, balance the color use. For example, if you are using a red gingham table runner, the arrangement topping that table will feature more blue and white floral. And, of course, always add flags!
Some of the flowers we’re reaching for this Fourth of July:
Delphinium – the dark blue delphinium coloring is closest to the blue of the American flag
Gerbera Daisies – red and white
Blue Thistle
Hydrangea – white
