Favorite Sandwiches
Fall means back to school and being on the go so we have some of our artisans favorite sandwiches!

Shannon Walker, Preservationist My favorite sandwich changes with the wind. Right now I like, smoked turkey with tomato jam, Basil Pesto and arugula on focaccia. But, then again, Benton’s Ham sliced thin on a biscuit with peach preserves and Brebis Cheese would be nice. I also enjoy some watercress with mayo and pickled ramps on Sally Lunn. That might hit the spot.

My favorite sandwich is a reuben, some nice hearty bread stuffed with corned beef, Blackberry Farm’s Downer Brown Cheese, and some sauerkraut .

Fall means back to school and being on the go, so I love a good old peanut butter and jelly or peanut butter and Honey.

My favorite late-summer nosh is a garden BLT, with crispy shiitake mushroom "bacon,"arugula and a thick slice of heirloom tomato. All of this on fresh ciabatta bread and glued together with Blackberry Farm Smoked Onion Jam. Don't forget a spear of pickled okra. I'll have one now, please!

My favorite sandwich is a tomato sandwich! It is made with light bread with plenty of Dukes mayonnaise, ponderosa, june pink, gulf state tomatoes with plenty of salt and pepper. It's so juicy you may have to stand over the sink to eat it!
