Fall at the Wellhouse
The transition from summer to fall is an exciting one at Blackberry Farm. The trees leaves begin to change, the weather is perfect and the gourds and pumpkins are perfectly placed about. Here are some of The Wellhouse fall tips for health:
Exfoliate your face with a natural enzyme like a pumpkin or cherry 2-3 times a week. These fruit enzymes increase cell turnover and allows potent serums like vitamin C serum or natural retinols to give more benefit. Incorporate body brushing into your routine. This works into your lymph system and boosts your body’s ability to eliminate toxins. You can find these items to take home at the Wellhouse.
Eat the new seasonal vegetables and fruits: pumpkins, squash, carrots, beets, broccoli, brussel sprouts, endive, cauliflower, cranberries, pears, apples, pomegranates. Try to eat a rainbow
of colors each day.
Get outdoors and enjoy the Mother Nature’s changes. As the humidity goes down the air temperature becomes more pleasant. Do your workouts outdoors while you can! Enjoy our popular Blackberry Fit course or Deep Healing Woods activities while on property.
Drink more water. With dryer weather we are often not as thirsty, but encourage yourself to hydrate. Make a stop by our Artisanal Water well by the Grey drake and fill up your water bottle!
Get prepared for the upcoming holidays. Stress tends to start building a week or two before Thanksgiving. Can you get a jump ahead and give yourself more room to enjoy the holidays with your loved ones? Check out our online site for your holiday shopping or when on property pick your favorite items and have them shipped to you.
Sign up for a mediation class or try it at The Wellhouse when you are here. Studies show how effective daily mediation is for increasing health and well-being.
Get out and enjoy the weather!
