Epic Eggnog

The Blackberry Mountain Beverage team took a seasonal classic and added their own twist that’s sure to get you into the holiday spirit. Whether you discover this epic eggnog at the Mountain or mix it up to wow your holiday guests during the hosting season, raise a glass and cheers to the holidays with us!

Blackberry Mountain Holiday Eggnog

Ingredients:
4 eggs
1 Tablespoon + ¼ cup white sugar
2 cups whole milk
1 cup heavy cream
4 oz. Johnny Drum Bourbon
2 oz. Plantation Double Barrel Rum
1 ½ oz. Gozio Amaretto
Three pinches of salt
2 whole nutmegs

To make:
In separate mixing bowls, separate the egg whites from egg yolks.

Add 1 tablespoon of white sugar to the bowl with egg whites and beat until stiff peaks are formed, then set aside.

Add ¼ cup of sugar to the bowl with egg yolks, and begin to mix until the sugar is fully integrated and the egg yolks have lightened in color.

Add whole milk, heavy cream, bourbon, rum and amaretto to the egg yolk mixture. Mix slowly. Once everything is mixed, add three pinches of salt until dissolved.

Grate roughly 1 whole nutmeg into the bowl with egg yolks and mix.

Now, take the bowl of egg whites that have been beaten into stiff peaks, and slowly fold them into the egg yolk mixture. Go slow and be patient so you do not deflate the peaks.

Serve immediately or refrigerate for three hours to allow the flavors to mingle.
