Frequent hosts and hostesses know that thoughtful décor has the power to elevate an evening with friends into an event to remember. The talented event and design teams here at Blackberry keep that insight in mind every time we transform spaces into venues for gatherings our guests will never forget.
Each year we help raise thousands of dollars for charity—and this year is no different. Blackberry is ready to kick off another big season of giving by joining some of our favorite partners for an exciting and unique charitable setting. Proprietor Sam Beall in collaboration with Cake Vintage will design a one-of-a-kind paper runner and placemat for their upcoming Tastemaster Series this October 1–3. For 72 hours, these high-quality pieces will be available on One Kings Lane just for you! All of the net proceeds for this event will be donated to The Blackberry Farm Foundation, which focuses on helping children and foodways related causes.

Personality
Think about what best reflects the attitude and nature of your event. Will it be a formal setting requiring sophistication and elegance? Is it casual? Do we want to include eclectic and fun accents? By establishing a distinct personality, we’re able to craft and plan our event accordingly.

Palette
Once personality is defined, catalog all of the pieces you have on hand that could be incorporated, such as china, glassware, flowers, etc. By distilling our event décor selections, we create our color palette with accent colors that complement the tone of our party. Fall has naturally beautiful tones we usually reflect in the items.

Place

Finally, put it all together! When placing the event decorations, be sure to keep dimensions of your décor in proportion to the setting. You could create a magnificent and beautiful arrangement, but if it’s so large it impedes conversation, it will overwhelm the space and disrupt the natural flow of your event.
