Enjoy the Moment
We are frequently encouraged by those around us not to dwell on the past or expect the future. This notion of living in the present is challenging to say the least with all of the noise and activity that buzzes our daily pursuits.
But, let’s really take a moment to think about the pleasure and fulfillment that can come from this notion of staying present in the moment.
In the brewery, we think about flavors and beer styles much like a chef views a pantry, a trip to the market, or a visit to a farm. We have beers that are available year round and we have others that come and go with the passing of the season. Take, for example, the release of our first seasonal offering, Summer Saison. It arrived with the welcome of all who experienced the fresh and bright floral notes, bursting with fruit and aromas that begged for a hot summer day. And that beer helped to create memories that are now fleeting with those hot days giving way to cool Fall mornings.
That same anticipation has been brimming amongst the brewery team as we welcome the newest member of our family, Fall Rye Saison. We’ve delighted in tasting this beer as it has rounded out a rich and layered flavor profile from the two varieties of rye and the days spent slumbering on American white oak. Notes of vanilla and caramel play against the backbone of Styrian Aurora and Golding hops to reveal a liquid that feels quite at home in the coming season.
So, we have enjoyed many moments with this new beer. The moments was brewed, introduced to oak, and bottled, but none will we enjoy more than the moment when we say goodbye to each case knowing that it is headed out into our partner restaurants and bottle shops to be enjoyed by our friends around the country. And when you open a bottle this Fall, we hope you can take the opportunity to slow down a bit and truly enjoy that moment to the fullest.
