Colorful Heirloom Garden

June 9, 2015
Colorful Heirloom Garden

Beginning in 2013 with the William Henry Maule 1913 Seed Catalog Garden, and with last year’s Cades Cove Garden, we are now looking forward to this year’s theme of the Colorful Heirloom Garden. This garden will feature numerous heritage garden varieties, all of which make a colorful presentation for our guests to see.

The subject of tomatoes alone would be a colorful display with deep red, purple, pink, yellow, yellow with pink moteling, and a wide variety of shapes and sizes. Also included in the garden will be a multitude of colorful corn varieties, including Earth Tones Dent, Bloody Butcher, Hickory King and Red Husk Popping Corn. There will also be potato onions, as well as various colorful field peas and bean varieties. Visit us this summer and experience the beauty of an heirloom garden in its full colorful glory!
