In the final installment of our 2019 Pro-Am series, Robbie Ventura sat down with Tyler Farrar and Mari Holden. Both just recently out of the competition realm, it was so exciting to welcome Farrar and Holden to the Farm. Hear what they thought of the event and what resonated with them during the rides.
Robbie Ventura is the founder and owner of Vision Quest Coaching. With a talented staff of world-class coaches, VQ provides expert training programs for over 500 endurance athletes of all levels from beginner to elite, including cyclists and triathletes ranging from eight to 80 years old. Robbie was a professional cyclist for 12 years. A competitive racer on the dirt, road and track since the age of seven, Ventura amassed over 70 victories during his professional career, was a member of the U.S. World Team and rode the Track World Championships in Hamar, Norway, placing 5th in the elimination.
Farrar rode professionally between 2003 and 2017. He has won six individual stages as well as assisting in two team time trials in Grand Tours.
Holden won the world time trial championship in 2000 after winning a silver medal in the Olympic Games time trial in Sydney, Australia. She also won six U.S. championships, becoming the first American woman to win three consecutive U.S. time trial championships (1998–2000) and scoring a double by winning the U.S. time trial and road championships in 1999.
