Yoga and Meditation Instructor Leigh Mallis came to Blackberry Mountain to host a reset event focused on creating positive energy and connection with ourselves. Blackberry Mountain’s Wellness Manager, Meghan Henley, joined her to talk about her journey as a yoga instructor and the different yoga practices she loves to teach and incorporate into her own life.

Guest

Leigh Mallis

Yoga Instructor and Pranic Soul Founder

Leigh Mallis' love for the practice became clear in her very first Kundalini yoga class in 1998. She has been teaching yoga for more than 20 years. She has studied multiple lineages, with Kundalini being her first introduction to yoga – and her favorite. She began teaching Kundalini in 2001 after a year-long certification through the Kundalini Research Institute (KRI). But that was only the beginning of her yoga journey. Leigh found Ashtanga yoga to be the perfect combination with Kundalini, and that interest a led to a teacher’s training program in 2004. She then redirected all of her energies to teaching yoga full time. She continues to expand her training, constantly bringing new knowledge into her teaching. In 2015 Leigh created Pranic Soul, a teacher training program that combines the discipline of Ashtanga yoga with the creative outlet of vinyasa flow and the science of Kundalini yoga and meditation. She is passionate about teaching anyone and everyone how to tune into their inner strength and awakening to live in the now during all the stages of life.
