Inside and Out

“The life force is a combination of the biological, mental and spiritual will to survive.”
– Vogue Body and Beauty Book
I borrowed the Vogue Body and Beauty Book from the library in 1995, and I read and re-read those words. They have even more meaning in my modern-day life – “biological, mental and spiritual.”Radiance, as with all matters of bringing forth, requires discovery into all three. Radiance is more than cosmetics, more than an effect on skin, more than a word.
In 1996, I began life as a practitioner in an industry that is an extremely different landscape in today’s ever-thriving, wellness-driven hospitality, spa and retail world. The mention of radiance was driven by the heavily marketed skincare houses in glossy publications. With no mobile phones, internet or fast news to stream into our lives, we were sold on eternal youth. But anti-aging is impossible. There is only pro-aging or well-ageing. It’s a kind of narrative to the self – one that fascinates me and one that we should pass on to our children. If we can manipulate physicality in nature, in animal kingdom, in the name of science, then why can’t we manipulate our minds to rewrite or rewire?
The impact of those words, and the curiosity they sparked in me, led me to demand more from myself as a custodian of the bodies in my sessions. It wasn’t until I stumbled on the writings of a Kabbalist that an account of spirituality within anatomy blew the gates open to all my questions –biological, mental and spiritual.
“Atoms mirror our consciousness, because atoms are our consciousness. They are not separate. There is only one idea here. One entity being discussed – consciousness.”
– Nano: Technology of Mind Over Matter by Kabbalist Rav Berg
What transpired for me between then and now has not only transformed my life, but it has transformed my very being. True radiance exits as mind over matter.
As we face new global crises of many sorts, many of the world’s growing dilemmas are showing up on my treatment bed. It’s the pollution crisis and the impact of it on our vital organs and our skin. It’s the stresses our 24-hour schedules since the birth of electronic communication and how it impacts our nervous system. It’s the stresses on our endocrine systems, both men and women. It’s fatigue, foggy brains, bowel imbalances, dizziness, thin skin, radiation, headaches, migraines, insomnia, thyroid imbalances, fatty livers and burn out. It’s our unconscious breathing. Unless I have a conscious breather in my hands, the majority of sessions are spent trying to move from shallow unconscious breathing to deeper conscious breath work – aiding purification, oxygenation and fascia release. I spend each session trying to undo the habits causing us harm. From outward influences to the food we eat, the abuse of our bodies is on the rise. I am in constant visual of fatigued, tired, puffy, inflamed bodies on my treatment bed. Nothing a facial can’t fix? I don’t think so, not anymore.
This presents itself within the sessions more and more; people are experiencing lack of radiance through loss of power of their being. We have to go deep. We need to go within. We were never designed to cope with modern-day stressors. We as beings pushed to modern limits, millions of us functioning at anywhere but optimally. But, let me remind you that we are a wonder!
Your mindful and intentional bare hand gliding around your face during product application will have you promoting detoxification, circulation and oxygenating. Radiance does increase from making an effort to improve our natural abilities to decongest, depuff and self-sooth. You’ll detoxify, oxygenate, release, relax, lift, drain, hydrate and activate your way to radiance. I’m sure if it!
We are no longer looking at just the wrinkle cure. We are able to impact our aging through having greater autonomy over it and accessing rapid healing and true governance of radiance. The no-nonsense approach to beautification will forever be available. However, we are transforming into a mindful mindset generation, and this requires effort.
I’ve studied people’s faces and bodies for decades. I have discovered of radiance that it is of you, and it is linked to such attributes of beauty as kindness, generosity of spirit and true sharing. We are radiant in all of our being. This is one of our greatest attributes. Finding pathways back to its source is the key effort we must now make. We can think our way to radiance.
Radiance is as much consciousness as it is physicality. This is as much an inward process as an outward journey. To bring radiance to our cells is to bring radiance to our minds. If our planet, as well as our bodies, are going to keep radiating a better future, then our brands, as well as our minds, need to be vibrating with the same velocity and intention. It seems that consciousness is the new currency.
Radiance, we are biologically, mentally and spiritually ready for you.
