Mix up this delicious cocktail from Three Sisters at Blackberry Mountain, and ignite your curiosity for days of wandering.
½ oz. high-end maple syrup
Three Sisters uses a housemade shagbark syrup made from shagbark hickory trees. A quality maple syrup is a great accessible substitute.
½ oz. lemon juice
½ oz. Hoodoo Chicory Liqueur
½ oz. Amaro Montenegro
2 oz. High West Double Rye Whiskey
2 dashes Angostura bitters
Add all ingredients to a shaker, and shake with ice. Strain into a rocks glass over a large single cube of ice.
With a peeler or knife, remove a piece of orange peel and hold it over your glass. Using a lighter, carefully hold the orange peel in the flame for a couple seconds. Garnish with your orange peel.
Burning citrus peel releases the natural oils from the fruit into your drink. This technique adds a subtle flavor enhancement and an exciting aesthetic element to the cocktail!
