From the architecture to the interior design, every space offers the opportunity to infuse personal style. Large structural choices and small finishing touches alike can be the canvas to showcase the unique personality of the room, the people who will use it or both. Part of the magic of interior design is the opportunity to get creative, to add purposeful touches that make the space all your own.

As seen in The Craft Issue of Blackberry Magazine, this art installation serves as a visual representation of the homeowner’s Canadian heritage blending with their life in East Tennessee. The geese in this custom piece fly from Canada to Southern Appalachia every year on their migration. The art reflects the natural environment of Blackberry Mountain and celebrates personal history.

The statement wall mural in the Sycamore room of Blackberry Mountain was painted by a graffiti artist from Nashville. Birds and foliage native to East Tennessee are hidden within the artwork, blended into the modern style while paying homage to the storied region.

Specially commissioned to reflect the position of the stars based on the location, date and time of a significant moment in the homeowners’ history, this table was commissioned with custom brass inlay depicting the night sky.

When guests arrive to dine at Three Sisters, they are greeted by an unexpected interpretation of the topography of Blackberry Mountain created by artist Héctor Bitar. The textural piece is made from all natural materials Héctor sourced from the property.

A custom mold was made to mirror the topography of Blackberry Mountain then inverted to create the basin of a sink. This artistic take reflects the client’s desire for the home to be integrated with the mountain environment around it.
